All About Me

My name is Trisha Mullan and I was born and raised in New York City. Growing up, I loved playing "school" with my sister as we pretended to be teachers and gave our pretend students grades and lessons. My parents were not always happy with the chalk writing on the back of my bedroom door, but they enjoyed my enthusiasm towards learning and education. I will never forget the moment I wanted to become a teacher in real life. I was in the first grade and my teacher, Mrs. Collins, was kind, considerate and so engaging. She showed empathy to all her students, even the ones who needed extra love. She motivated us to find our inner confidence and become problem solvers. I knew in that moment that this was the field for me. I wanted to inspire others to think, grow, and learn. I wanted to influence others to be their best self. I wanted to be a positive role model for others. After college, I made the move to Florida to be closer to my family. I have worked tirelessly and had many obstacles in my path, but I am exactly where I need to be...in the classroom, helping those who need me the most. Teaching is my dream job and in order to continue to be relevant and current with the field, professional development and growth is key! My goal is use all that I have learned along the way to inspire others to remember their why. I feel that teachers are life long learners and compassionate individuals with an abundance of knowledge gained through school, experience, and their peers. This site was developed as a safe place for members to reflect, collaborate, and share resources so that we can be better together, and show the world all that we have to offer.

Take some time to explore the blog, read something interesting, and leave feedback so we can continue to connect, learn, and create together.
